Contributor licence

Your chart stays yours. You are letting other players see, transpose and print it — and confirming it is your own transcription, with no lyrics.

Version 2026-09-01

You keep your work

The chart stays yours. You are giving NNScharts permission to show it, not handing it over, and you can make it private again at any time.

What you let us do with it

While a chart is public you allow NNScharts to display it, transpose it into other keys, print it, and let other players find and use it. Transposing is the point of the number system, so a licence that did not cover it would not cover the app working.

It has to be your transcription

Charts you worked out yourself, or that you have the right to share. Not copies of a chart somebody sold you, and not a file lifted from another service.

No lyrics

Chord numbers, structure and cue words only — a couple of words to find your place is fine, a verse is not. This is the rule that keeps the library on solid ground, and charts that break it are removed.

If someone objects

A rights holder can ask for a chart to be taken down and we will act on it. Accounts that keep drawing complaints are closed.

You accept this once, the first time you publish. If the licence changes we ask again rather than applying the new text to what you already shared — which is why it carries a version at all.
